Tips for newbies

Are you new to the freebie scene?

Are you finding it hard trying to convince people that the freebie scene works?

In my opinion the best way to get your first freeebie is to start small, Why not go for a ipod shuffle for only 2 referals on apple.freebiejeebies not only do they have the shuffle they also have a great selection of apple products all at various referal rates.

Once you have signed up and completed your own offer why not ask your friends and family to sign up under your referal link and complete an offer for you, Don’t worry if your offer doesn’t credit straight away as some offers have a pending state (the love film offer is a two week pending). If you think that you should have received your credit but haven’t then all you do is open a support ticket and it will soon be resolved (Freebiejeebies has one of the best support teams of all the freebie networks).
Once you have your free shuffle you can now show it to everyone who thought you wouldn’t get it and maybe this will convice them that the freebie scene does work.

Did you think you where finished? Well your not because did you know that once you have completed the site and received your shuffle (that you have now shown to all your friends) your apple.freebiejeebies account will then be reset and you can then redo the site and maybe set your sites a bit higher and get a bigger gift.

Did you also know that you can trade referals on this forum so if you run out of friends and family to use as referals you can swap referals with the like minded people on this forum.

Another great thing about Freebiejeebies is that once your account has been reset you don’t need to complete another offer plus any referals that you had extra will carry on towards your next gift.

I hope this little guide helps you and if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to ask.

Common mistakes people make

One thing to remember when you sign up to a freebie site is to check out their terms and conditions, Some of the most common mistakes that people make are

1) You can’t refer yourself ie: Don’t sign up under your own link under a different e-mail address, You will be found out and you won’t receive your gift.

2) Only one person per household is allowed to sign up to the site, So if any of your family sign up under your link they must stay at a different address.

3) Any Friends and family who sign up under your link must do it from their own computers as ip addresses are recorded and any multiple sign ups from the one ip address will be deemed to be fraud and you may not receive your gift.

Now we have covered the most frequent mistakes that people make its time for you to go out and get your first freebie.

My First Freebie

Well, like most that start freebie hunting, I was very sceptical. Surely no-one is going to give away a free PSP are they?
After clicking the link, I was presented with the front page of Real-Incentives. Complete one offer and refer a few friends, sounds simple enough! I signed up, and then saw the offers page. So here’s the catch! I almost closed the browser, but then noticed the free Lovefilm trial offer. “I’ve got nothing to lose” I thought to myself and signed up to the DVD rental trial.

Now for the hard part. A PSP from Real-Incentives was 7 referrals. I got a few (also sceptical, but willing nonetheless) family members and friends to do it, but still needed more. I got the idea from a man on ebay, so why not try that myself? I did and managed to get loads of referrals, and greens too. A word of warning: ebay have now outlawed this method, and will actively suspend or delete any accounts that try it.

Around a month or so after signing up, I had 12 greens, enough for an Xbox 360, so I clicked the ‘Verify’ button and waited patiently. And waited. And waited some more. After about another 3 weeks, I checked my account to find that I had lost 6 greens! Gutted! After the disappointment, I managed to get another green through a trade on the Grab4Free forum. I clicked verify again.

The wait this time was shorter, around 2 weeks. I checked my account one day to see a new box appear: “Your account has been verified, you may now order your item”, which I quickly did.

About 2 weeks later, I came home from work, and there was a card for a missed delivery on the doormat. I rushed down to the Post Office, and there it was - my very first freebie. I was chuffed to say the least, and proved many doubters (Including myself) wrong.

Overall, I would rate the service of Real-Incentives as good. At times the support ticket responses were slow, but this seems to have been addressed lately.
