Tips on getting sign ups via your link

Once you have selected your Free gift from the images on the right and completed an offer the only thing you need to worry about is getting enough referrals to qualify for your gift

Referrals are people you get to sign up via your link so that you are credited and get you 1 step closer to your free gift. A yellow is someone who has signed up for the free gift via your link but are yet to complete one of the offers, once they have completed an offer they become a Green..these are what your after.

Personal referrals

This is probably the easiest and most successful method of getting referrals and is where you should start looking for most of your referrals, this involves referring people you know personally such as family and close friends. It shouldnt be too hard to convince them to sign up for one of the free DVD trials or something which doesnt put them out of pocket. The first thing to remember is that most people are reluctant to sign up straight away, people are afraid of being scammed and instantly distrust anyone giving away free stuff. Forum Posting

you need to make sure you follow the forums posting rules if you are going to do this as otherwise you could be banned as a lot of forums don’t allow the posting of referral links. The best way to post in forums in our opinion is to use your signature space which appears under each post you make to advertise your link but again only do this if its allowed on each particular forum. By doing this your link is shown every time you make a post and hopefully your should get some referrals through it.

Chat room posting

This is similar to the forums and also carries the risk of getting banned from the chat room for spamming if you go about it the wrong way. the best way to go about it is not just to post your link in the room and wait for people to click on it you are better off striking up conversations with people (it helps if your in a related room i.e. an Xbox chat room etc.) and then once you know the people a bit you can casually bring it up and if they are interested they will want to know more. You will need to check the chat rooms rules about posting referral links before going about this method

Paying for referrals

Some people offer money for those who sign up under them, this seems a bit extreme to me but if your going to get an £800 TV then offering someone a tenner to a completed referral you desperately need isn’t a bad idea I suppose.

Trading referrals

Reusing referrals

Do be realistic with your chosen gift and the number of referrals they require have realistic and achievable aims at the start.

Do tell your online friends, do you play online games? Tell people in your clan or guild people who Know you. If you have a blog or are a regular poster on a forum where people know you you can tell people abut it there

Don’ts

Don’t rush people; remember the key to long term success with free stuff is patience people need walked through step by step.

Don’t just mass email all your friends and expect them all to sign up, take each referral 1 at a time. Take care with each person, once you have them signed up and convinced you will be able to get them to sign up for all your future offers. Remember you can be in this for the long haul, why stop at 1 free gift when you can get loads.

Don’t be overly aggressive, you don’t want to scare people off with the hard sell, take your time and let people see the evidence and let it speak for itself.
